These surgical procedures to be discussed could be adapted to treat pediatric patients. Experts will describe their fundamental key-points and give tips.

The audience is invited to participate in discussion on cases, surgical techniques, treatment options, and optimal management.
6. Session about requested topics
- Case reports. Abstracts for presentation about a wide range of patients with rare conditions, difficult to treat conditions, and interesting conditions are invited to participate.
- Surgical procedures: Tips that should be taught, issues about instruments to be mindful of, and difficult procedures.
- Basic scientific research that has clinical relevance.
7. Special program: Evaluate the video of laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication
An opportunity for the audience to participate in the evaluation of a video of a laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication submitted to the Japanese Society of Endoscopic Surgery to apply for an Endoscopic Surgical Skill Qualification.
8. Special youth program
A session for young colleagues with less than 15 years of postgraduate training. An opportunity to discuss the ideals of training.
Abstracts are invited from authors with less than 15 years of postgraduate training on topics related to training to become a pediatric surgeon. Other than general rules for submitting abstracts, there is no formal format. An opportunity to share concerns and discuss issues about training to become a pediatric surgeon. Presenters will discuss personal experiences and mention areas in their training that could be or need to be improved. Interactive discussion between presenters will focus on the following
Theme:
- Entering the medical office
- General surgical training
- Studying elsewhere (both domestic and overseas)

a) Aggregation or dispersion
b) Gap between rural areas and cities - What I want to be or do after another 5 years and 10 years
Speakers (eligible applicants):
- Trainee pediatric surgeons (5-8 years of postgraduate surgical training)
- Applicants for Board certification (9-11 years of postgraduate surgical training)
- Applicants for Board-certified Teaching Supervisor (12-14 years of postgraduate surgical training)
9. Oral sessions, international sessions, poster sessions
Abstracts covering a broad range of topics related to pediatric surgery and pediatric urology are invited. Refer to "Call for abstracts" for more information.
Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation may submit a manuscript to the Publications Committee for possible publication in the Japanese Society of Pediatric Surgeons (JSPS) issue of Pediatric Surgery International (PSI). Both oral presentations and poster presentations are subject to review.
